Pope

Well a new pope and this is the seventh one, I will see rule.  Can't wait to see what the new one will bring.

  1. Pius XII (1939-58)

  2. Blessed John XXIII (1958-63)

  3. Paul VI (1963-78)

  4. John Paul I (1978)

  5. Blessed John Paul II (1978-2005)

  6. Benedict XVI (2005-2013)

  7. Francis (2013—)

It's been an interest Catholic life so far.

Question, can I count Pius and John, as I didn't convert until half way through Paul?

I think the whole world will be interested to see what Francis brings to the table. The Pope wields enormous influence worldwide.

I confess I was astonished to learn that they'd managed to come to such a quick decision.

Hey you were alive. I think especially this cnetury the Pope has had a lot to do with the world, join me with acknowledging them also. At least I won't feel so old alone.

I actually remember John XXIII more than Paul VI. I suppose it's because he opened Vatican II.

I do too, and I think it because I was in catholic grade school at that time. Always was interested in all religions and tried to learn as much about all about all of them. Including ancient ones. Guess I'm am kind of weird that way.
