All you need to know in terms of set up - I'm not actually sure if Colditz as a concept is famous outside Britain actually - Colditz is where the Germans put all the Prisoners of War who kept escaping. It starts around the Battle of Britain, so Wagner's being nominally on the British Side because obviously he can't be on the American side yet.
