Vacation Time!
Jun. 23rd, 2013 05:10 pmWell back to work after vacation. My son, grandson, brother, sister-in-law, sister and I met at Egg Harbor. We had a blast and some of the things we did included.
View outside the condo
Climbing the 97 steps of the Caan lighthouse
Ate at a restruant that had goats on the roof—oh yea the guy was cutting the grass on it and I had a severe Asthma attack (but the goats are cool).
Had my food deliver by a model train and ate on doors made into a counter
Then took a ferry across “Door to the Way to Death” from the tip of Door County to Washington Island where Lake Michigan and Green Bay join.
Oh yea a stop at the Chocolate Chicken for my homemade fudge and speciality coffee for my co workers.
Headed home, ran the grandkids for a summer with their mother in Missouri, then worked 36 hours in 2 days—
Today it’s Sunday and I can actually rest. Vacations are nice, but home is wonderful

Date: 2013-06-23 10:28 pm (UTC)One of my favorite places ON EARTH.
I love it there! It's so peaceful! I took a writer's holiday there about a year and a half ago, and wrote the majority of "The Sins of the Father Affair" there.
