Well back to work after vacation. My son, grandson, brother, sister-in-law, sister and I met at Egg Harbor. We had a blast and some of the things we did included.

Climbing the 97 steps of the Caan lighthouseDSC00308

Ate at a restruant that had goats on the roof—oh yea the guy was cutting the grass on it and I had a severe Asthma attack (but the goats are cool).

Then took a ferry across “Door to the Way to Death” from the tip of Door County to Washington Island where Lake Michigan and Green Bay join.DSCF0757

Oh yea a stop at the Chocolate Chicken for my homemade fudge and speciality coffee for my   co workers.       pic 6 pic 5                                                                                                                                                    Headed home, ran the grandkids for a summer with their mother in Missouri, then worked 36 hours in 2 days—

Today it’s Sunday and I can actually rest. Vacations are nice, but home is wonderful

DOOR COUNTY <3<3<3

One of my favorite places ON EARTH.

I love it there! It's so peaceful! I took a writer's holiday there about a year and a half ago, and wrote the majority of "The Sins of the Father Affair" there.

Thanks for sharing these photos. I love the goat pasture roof and that variation of meals on wheels.

I hope both home and work go easy on you.

It sure looks like you had a wonderful time. Those are some beautiful pictures.

When do you pick your grandkids up after summer's over? Where? If our schedules match maybe we can meet in northern MO????
